Current and Upcoming Events at Church of the Ascension
The IPC has made arrangements for anyone interested in attending the March 10th Consecration of the Rev. Canon Andrew Dietsche as Bishop of New York to be transported to the Cathedral by bus, leaving from Christ Church, New Brighton at 8 am. Cost is $15 per person, paid in advance. Checks payable to the Richmond Interparish Council may be placed in the collection plate no later than February 19th, and wil be forwarded to the IPC.
The Tuesday Evening Forum continues with a study of the Gospel According to St. John as presented through the Visual Bible series we used to study the Book of Acts during Advent. The weekly Forum continues through February 14, taking place at 7:00 pm in the Rector's office, concluding at 8:15 pm with Compline.

Assisting Bishop Andrew Smith will be making the Bishop's bi-annual visitation to Ascension parish on Sunday, February 19th. The members of the Vestry will meet briefly with Bishop Smith after coffee hour at the Rectory. |
SAVE The Date: Wednesday, February 8, St. Martha's Guild Meeting, 10:45am, Undercroft. Tuesday, February 21: Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, 6:30pm, Undercroft. Wednesday, February 22: Ash Wednesday, Sanctuary. Imposition of Ashes will be at 7:30am, 12:15 pm, and 7:00 pm. Monday, February 27: Richmond Interparish Council will meet at St.Andrew's Church at 7:45pm. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting, so that everyone will have a chance to meet Canon Dietsche, who will be consecrated Bishop on March 10th.
